Monica Vinader is a British luxury jewellery brand that celebrates individuality.
Opening up a new category between fashion and fine jewellery, MV creates instantly wearable, contemporary pieces to style,
stack and personalise with engraving.
Monica's unique designs have a diverse celebrity following including Emma Watson, Olivia Palermo and the Duchess of Cambridge.
Our iconic friendship bracelets, vibrant gemstones and cutting-edge diamond pieces have made Monica Vinader internationally successful.
At our debut in 2008, Monica Vinader won Brand of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards,
and has since been stocked by global luxury retailers including Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty, Net-A-Porter and Boutique 1.
You can step into the world of Monica Vinader at our boutiques in London's Chelsea,
Mayfair and Canary Wharf, and in Hong Kong's ifc Mall.
Founder and CEO, Monica Vinader, grew up surrounded by arts and objects from her parents' antiques business,
an influential force that has guided her entrepreneurial spirit and eye for design.
After graduating from art school in London, Monica immersed herself in the jewellery world and worked her way up
before deciding to go it alone, creating bespoke pieces from her converted forge in Norfolk, with an office,
showroom and workshop all under one roof. As the business has scaled, Norfolk remains at the heart of the design process,
where she and her creative team develop all of the collections. Production takes place in India, where every stone is cut
and faceted by hand from rough, using contemporary cuts,
meaning your piece of Monica Vinader jewellery is entirely unique.
The 4 C's
CUT
Cut refers to the diamond's reflective qualities resulting from the exact placements of facets within the stone. MV diamonds are cut to show their brilliance to optimum effect and the shape we use is round.
COLOUR
Diamonds are graded on their lack of colour. Most valuable diamonds are colourless, with the exception being diamonds with strong colour traces such as yellow, blue and pink, which are very rare. MV diamonds are H/I colour, which is near colourless on the scale.
CLARITY
Nearly all diamonds contain some natural inclusions. The visibility and number of these inclusions determine its clarity, and the fewer inclusions, the more valuable the diamond. The clarity grades are: Flawless, Internally Flawless, Very Very Slightly Included, Very Slightly Included, Slightly Included and Included. MV diamonds range from slightly Included- Included, meaning minute inclusions can be detected under 10 x magnification.
CARAT WEIGHT
A Carat (ct) is a unit of measurement to weigh gemstones. A one carat diamond can come in varying sizes depending on how it is cut. You can find the carat weight of your MV diamond piece in its style description.
We are committed to the ethical sourcing of our products and work closely with suppliers to ensure that they adhere to our code of conduct,
which outlines strict standards of business behaviour.
Monica Vinader is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council,
which addresses human and labour rights, environmental impact and mining practices within the jewellery supply chain.
We have also been awarded the Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury for our outstanding commitment to sustainability.
MV diamonds are sourced through suppliers that adhere to the Kimberley Process
and the World Diamond Council's System of Warranties, preventing the distribution of conflict diamonds both in rough,
cut and polished stones. Conflict diamonds are those smuggled by rebels to finance wars against legitimate governments.
Our diamond suppliers are also compliant with United Nations resolutions.
