Plot

Dan Mulligan used to be a successful record label executive in New York. After being fired from his job, he goes to a bar to drink. Suddenly he hears a girl called Gretta James singing one of the songs she writes. So Dan offers her a record deal with his ex label; however, his former collegue, Saul, doesn't see her potential. Then Dan offers Gretta to personally produce her album and to record it in public and crowded spaces in New York. When the their collaboration is finished, Dan and Gretta meet again with Saul, who is impressed with their work. However, she tells Dan that she would like to share her albun online for $1, and it sold 10,000 copies only her first day.

I personally recommend this movie because of its particular way of tackling the music world and its industry. It emerges the passion, love, and dedication that both of the main characted have for music. Also, the soundtrack of the film is very accurate.
