Plot

Gil Pender, a Hollywood screenwriter of decent success, and his fiancée Inez go to Paris with Inez's parents. Gil is unsuccessfully trying to finish his first novel. After having drunk at a wine tasting night Gil decides to walk back to the hotel. Out of the blue, at midnight, a car of the 1920s walk by him with people wearing typical 1920s clothes; they invite him to join them. They go to a party attended by remarkable people of 1920s Paris: Cole Porter and his wife Linda Lee Porter, Zelda, and Scott Fitzgerald,then in one cafè Gil meets Ernest Hemingway and Juan Belmonte. The next night, the same couch returns; Gil this time meet Pablo Picasso and his lover Adriana. He continues this experience for a couple of nights.

I personally recommend this movie because it recreates the magical atmosphere of 1920s Paris and its prolific literary and artistic environment. In addition, it gives the spectator a feeling of nostalgia and appreciation for the past.
