The Southwestern Yacht Club was founded in 1925 in order to bring San Diego yachtspeople together. The club now has over 1,000 members and is known for being the most friendly yachting organization in San Diego. The club has a brand new clubhouse in prime real estate, only a five minute motor to the ocean as well as immediate access to the San Diego Bay.
