Well, last but definetely not least step on this food tour of Rome, the traditional Roman cuisine. Here are some suggestions of some of my favorite places not only for typical the food they offer but also for the atosphere they offer.
Emma (pizzeria con cucina) is a really nice restaurant that mainly does pizza but also many other dishes (pasta, meat etc). Even if everything is delicious there, I would recomment their pizza as they buy the dough from Roscioli a very important bakery bread just in front of the restaurant.

Baffetto is a typical pizzeria in Rome near Piazza Navona. Indeed, they basically only do pizza in the typical Roman way. Indeed, while in the south (especially in Naples) they do deep pizza, in Rome they have a very subtle one, which is the one I prefer usually. Anyway, Baffetto is certainly a place you can't miss in your fod tour.
Tip: it is often very crowded and there is line outside but be patient because it usually goes quite fast.

If you want to try a cacio e pepe you must go there. They have the best cacio and pepe in the world by far, trust me!! Felice a Testaccio is avery famous restaurant known for cooking one of the best typical Roman cuisine. They have a fixed menu and then they have a specific one for each day of the week and for each season. I honestly recomment on booking a table with a lot of advance as they are alway fully booked.

Not only they offer one of the best typical Roman cuisine, they also have a very nice location in Isola Tiberina. Sora Lella is a family owned restaurant. Lately they also won Alessandro Borghese's 4 ristoranti show as the best Roman cuisine! I totally recomment it!
