This was on my flight from Johannesburg to Cairo, where I had a 10 or 12 hour layover in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. My family and I were actually living in Jeddah at the time, so I went home and took a nap until I had to leave the next morning for Cairo. I bought a last minute flight to Cairo for New Years, and would be arriving just in time to celebrate with all my friends from high school. It was the second consecutive year since we'd graduated that we'd all met up at home for Christmas break.
