Like a modern-times sand castle, the ocher-polished concrete façade of Villa Suenyo blends into the unspoiled nature. Large bay windows open onto the stone terrace and let light into the hippie-inspired living room, where candles, wicker rattan chests, polished vases and colorful cushions are piled up. The immaculate white minimalist kitchen is arranged around the long wooden table with wicker baskets turned into chandeliers hanging above it. In the bedrooms you encounter the same bohemian-chic atmosphere: the seats and mattresses spread out on the polished concrete floor.
In the morning, sit under the reed roof with a fresh fruit juice before going to the artisanal market of La Mola. Afterwards, you can ride a bike or a vintage scooter to the rocky inlet Calan des Calas and dive into the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. At the end of the day, return to Codice Luna, at the foot of the lighthouse, to enjoy a plate of aioli and pata negra with your feet in the sand, or go back to the villa to watch the sun set over the sea from the pool or outdoor bathtub.
In the south of Ibiza, the former hippy retreat of Formentera is the wildest of the Balearic Islands. Located at its highest point, the picturesque village of Pilar de la Mola overlooks the vineyards and surrounding countryside. A little away from the villagers’ houses you reach Villa Suenyo by a winding road, zigzagging between Aleppo’s pines and centenarian olive trees.
