Instructions:

  1. water in a pot, add salt, and cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
  2. While it cooks, heat the olive oil in a pan on medium heat.
  3. Add sliced garlic and let it turn golden (not brown, or it will taste bitter).
  4. Add chili flakes for a bit of heat.
  5. the pasta, keeping 2 tbsp of the pasta water.
  6. the pasta in the pan with garlic oil, add a splash of water, and mix well.
  7. Serve immediately with parsley or Parmesan.
