RIP Freddie Mercury:

Freddie, originally Farrokh, dies of AIDS on November 24th 1991, however his legacy lives on and he is widely celebrated until this day!

1985

Live Aid concert:

July 13th 1985, is a a day that goes down in history.

Queen are just one of a multitude of top bands who perform at the "Live Aid" concert. The world is watching, and Queen is unanimously voted as the band that stole the show.

1980

Peak of popularity:

As they enter the decade of the 80s, Queen is on top of the world.

1974

USA Tour:

The band embarks on their first-ever USA tour as guests to Mott The Hoople.

1973

Debut album:

Queen can eventually release their first album named "Queen", which includes a combo of glam and hard rock songs on it. This is made possible by Barry and Norman Sheffield, who run the successful Trident Studios.

1971

Formation of the band:

Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor decide to form a band with vocalist and piano enthusiast Freddie Mercury.
