Before beauty bloggers and social media, beauty trends were created and shared by a select handful of elite people. Then YouTube came along. It opened the door to a whole new world where beauty was democratized. Suddenly, beauty lovers were bonding over their winged liner tips, skincare routines, the features they loved (or were learning to love), and whether or not a viral product was really worth the hype. Beauty became a movement fueled by free conversation and an endless exchange of ideas and inspiration. Makeup For Dummies was born out of this movement, and we fearlessly support the self-expression and inclusivity that made it happen. From day one, our goal has always been to inspire individuals around the world to express their unique beauty, and today, we are happy to celebrate the embodiment of this movement; introducing the new Chief Makeup Artist for spring 2023, Ash K Holm.
