One of the true treasures of the U.S., the Great Smoky Mountains National Parks, has within in one of the most scenic hikes East of the Mississippi.
Clingman's Dome, the highest point in Tennesee at 6,643 feet, offers a breathtaking view and options for all types of hikers!
The first we recommend is Clingman's Dome Road, a 7 mile hike taking about 3 hours, incredibly scenic and of moderate difficulty. The second is a half-mile, steep hike from Clingman Dome's Visitor Center directly to the peak; not as scenic but much quicker.
