The Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary Trail offers a terrain starkly different from the rest we recommend. The diversity of wildlife and fauna, too, are unmatched. This trail goes through the swamp sanctuary, containing the largest remaining Bald Cypress Forest in North America.
The hike itself is only two miles long, taking around 35 minutes to complete. It offers great bird watching, and a great place for walks/runs.
Due to its location near Naples, Florida, it is open and beautiful year-round, though beware the heat and humidity in the summers.
