The Modern Nomad: The Journey To Geneva
The Modern Nomad moved to Geneva, Switzerland three years after living in Khartoum, Sudan.
Geneva was the Nomad's first European experience, and he remembers much more about Geneva than
about Sudan. There he attended primary school with other consulate children and spoilt rich
children as well.
He remembers some friends from Geneva, but not too many. He remembers play time,
getting yelled at by teachers, eating a lot of good chocolate, seeing snow for the first time
almost dying when on a trip to the Swiss alps, the pleasant train ride to the alps & of course the
horrible clothing choices his parents made for him.
The Nomad also had a near-death experience while living in Geneva, when he almost drowned in an adult
swimming pool his mother had coaxed him into entering. That is not such a fond memory when compared to
the rest, but nonetheless something that has greately contributed to the person he is today. A damn fine
person at that too.
Anywho, enough chatter, in the table below are some pleasant images of the Swiss world, and what the Nomad
remembers of the place. Glance around and then direct yourself back to the homepage after.
