BUDAPEST

Budapest was a last minute decision. My best friends from school were supposed to come visit me for the week of thanksgiving. They had to cancel their trip a week before due to the attack that occurred in Paris and the high alerts for all of Europe. I was upset but I understood their reasoning. I ended up talking to my best friend who is also studying here in Rome and after mentioning to her that I was going to be alone for thanksgiving due to the change of plans she invited me to join her and her family in Budapest. I did not think about it twice and booked my flight. It ended up being just me with my best friend and one of her older sisters. We had a private tour and were able to see all of Budapest. My favorite part was the christmas markets that were on all the streets and the food.
