Blaze the Pomsky

  • Blaze is a very interesting dog. Instead of being pure bread he was in a litter that was made in a lab (since it is very unsafe in some cases to breed two Pomskies together if they are not both purebred). He is not like many other Pomskies, he is a lot smaller and shares different qualities than Indi does.
  • Blaze has Husky fur but is the size of a Pomeranian. When he was younger, he had a full set of hair; but now that he’s getting older, we have noticed that he is losing hair in some parts of his body. We recently found out that this can happen to other Huskies and is actually a serious problem in South Los Angeles because people are breeding Huskies with this type of skin condition. At first we thought it was just Indi playing too rough with him, but now we have found solutions to help him with this and it is getting much better. Of course we didn’t know this before hand, but it makes him unique and does not stop him from doing his best.
  • Blaze is a special boy, we are not entirely sure on what is wrong with him, but we believe he is, in fact, autistic. He is such a cutie but he is is very slow in general and is very lost most of the time. It is hard to explain how he acts, but he is so loving and is obsessed with anyone that comes near him.
  • My favorite thing about Blaze is that he loves sunsets, which I can not blame him since San Diego has incredibly beautiful sunsets every night. Anyway, every single evening he goes out onto our patio, stands on the arm rest of the couch, and watches the sunset for about 20 minutes, even when none of us are outside.
  • It is hard not to obsess over him. Back to Home Page
