My name is Flavia Antonelli and I am from Rome, Italy.

I am a 22-year-old student majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Art History at John Cabot University in Rome.

I am an amatorial self-taught photographer in love with visual culture. I discovered my love for photography thanks to my dad, who used to show me how to take pictures already when I was very young.

As a photographer, I love to take into account everything that surrounds me, which is the reason why I switch my subjects very often, from landscapes, to objects of everyday life, and portraits as well.

I'm always trying to capture the beauty of the world around, whether that is about stealing moments to strangers' life or focusing on insignificant details that I would never focus on without a camera.

What about Flewsplash? I am used to explaining my nickname by referring to swimming, the sport I practiced competitively for almost 17 years. So imagine you are about to race, and you are about to dive into the water. The precise moment between the takeoff from the diving board and the actual getting through the water surface... that moment is what I call flewsplash. That is a special instanct when the swimmer has too many thoughts, and yet none of them is memorable. Flewsplash is a moment of concentration, adrenaline, and estrangement from yourself, thanks to which you hyper-feel your emotions, whether they are good or bad. It is a moment of pure and intense life that anybody should experience at least once in a lifetime.

So, what about me and Flewsplash? Since 2013, I have started to consider photography as a life style more than just a passion. I then began to work on projects and to exhibit my works at artistic events around the center of Italy.

I also collaborated with photographer Jan Michael Putter, with whom I have seeking for the perfect combination of fun and artistic work. That is what I consider to live by getting flewsplash as much as possible from photography.

Thanks to the fellowship and collaboration of Roman progressive-rock band Lateral Blast, I have had the opportunity to 'work' as photographer at live concerts and music events, because in fact live music is one of my biggest passions, too.

Since the end of 2016, I have been working as music photographer at Roman club Chinaski Punto.

Other than taking pictures for work, I usually spend my photographic moments on new artistic projects, one of the main focuses of my production.

What is amazing to me is to find always new people to work with at new ideas and shootings, so if you have some clues in mind or simply want to get some pictures of yourself, I am looking forward to collaborating with you!
