Yours Truly

Yours Truly

Yours Truly is Ariana Grande's first studio album that was released on September 3, 2013. Yours Truly debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 selling 138,000 copies in its opening week and reached the top-ten position in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

The album included features from Big Sean, Mac Miller and Nathan Sykes. It took approximately three years to produce due to the fact that she thought at first the album was too "50s, 60s doo-wop-inspired" when she wanted it to be more "urban pop, 90s music."

Yours Truly received positive reviews from critics, including an A- from Entertainment Weekly and a review describing it as "one of the most purely enjoyable albums of the year." Most critics gave positive reviews to the artist, even going as far as comparing her to Mariah Carey.

The Listening Sessions

The Listening Sessions was Ariana Grande's debut concert tour that began August 11th of 2013 and concluded in late September. The tour only had 11 shows that spanned across the U.S and Canada due to her acting schedule and the recording of her second album, My Everything.

The tour grossed almost $700,000 in profit and sold out across every venue. Pre-sale tickets had to be taken down earlier than expected because they were selling out so fast that the tour would've been sold out before regular tickets went on sale. Ariana sang songs from Yours Truly as well as some songs that didn't make it on the album.
