JCU GLADIATORS- WHO ARE WE?

JCU MenÕs Soccer Team is one of the forerunners that paved the way for the beginning of the Universities of Rome Championship in 2005. Part of the athletic department of John Cabot University, one of the most prestigious American Universities in Italy, in 2004, JCU decided to organize a friendly four-way game together with Link Campus, Roma Tre, and AUR, which turned into a proper tournament the following year. Since then, more universities have been invited to participate, and the tournament has never stopped growing. Although JCU has never won the first place yet, our Gladiators have always represented a very challenging rival. In 2007/2008, JCU made it to the semifinals, and in 2017/2018, our team earned an important 3rd place in the final ranking, which demonstrated the improvement that our Gladiators have made so far. Dreaming big is the key to any success, and if you add an incredible group of talented young people who can turn the dream into reality with their strenght, determination, and enthusiasm, the game is made!After an intense Regular Season in the Universities of Rome Championship, battling against 10 valid teams from other universities, JCU MenÕs Soccer team remains at the moment the top team in the ranking with the highest number of total scored goals (33), marking a sensational milestone for the first time ever in JCU Athletics history.
