Un Cafè in a Roman Cafe

Third Wave Coffee

a guide to the best coffee in rome

Marigold
Marigold is a restaurant amd micro bakery owned by chef Domenico Cortese and Baker Sofie Wochner located in the Ostiense neighborhood of Rome. They roast their own beans, and serve artisan coffee, tea, juices, and cocktails, and a variety of farm to table meals and pastries. Their kitchen uses organic, seasonal ingredients that they source from small businesses in Italy or forage from Rome's backyard. They are open Wednesday to Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm. My personal favorite is their batch brew balck coffee and the banana bread with housemade salted butter.

Barnum Cafe
Barnum Cafe is located near Campo di Fiori, and is placed on a great street for clothing and jewelry shopping. In the morning, you can find people working on their computers or enjoying breakfast, and in the afternoon they have a full lunch menu. They use a new roaster every month, so their coffee always has a new taste, and they make pour overs, iced coffee, as well as classic Italiam capuccinos and espresso. They also carry alternative milks, and their avocado toast is excellent. They are open every day from 8 am to 3:30 pm.
