Katalin Tolgyesi is a 21 year old painter and business student in Rome, Italy. Her work has been shown in several galleries in her home state of Vermont. Her work is a combination of classic oil portraiture and unusual, sometimes surreal composition.

artist statement

I am simply creating the art I want to see. I am an avid consumer of art and during that consumption I notice new combinations to try or a different take on an idea. my work is rarely built off a specific message, meaning or significance, but rather a collection of aesthetics and visuals that I wanted to make real. The beautiful and exciting part is that in the end, I can often find an unintentional meaning or deeper interpretation within the finished piece.
