Hello everybody! It's spring in the air, definitely. Today something a little bit different - I went for the combination of decoupage, 3D elements, and painted ornaments. The main motive is, of course, spring, however, I had that beautiful paper with the fairy on it, so I though that it is actually a good personification of this warm, sunny, bright season. Let me show you more!
So, above you can see the final version. I believe I can call it a collage. There are few layers or rather spaces.
Firstly, on a blank canvas, I applied primer. Then, I used a stencil to create the 3D patterns which are visible in the center of the painting.
In the bottom and top corners, I stuck different papers with roses and letters ornaments.
Below you can see how it looked at the beginning:
Then, after having everything in the right place, I added some shadows and colors. I didn't want them to be strong or easily visible.
I was thinking about the spring drizzle, the bright sun rays and fresh greenery of nature. I mixed each paint with water and then I created many stains.
While there weren't still dry up I connected one with another so that the colors kind of flow thru the canvas.
Also, I used stamps in order to add the writings. Some of these were simply the words written in the beautiful font which I simply fell in love with
and I had to use them a few times, but also some are quite inspirational quotes.
IAs the final touches, I added the 3D elements - butterflies and the cute, wooden badge to which I adjusted artificial, paper flowers, butterfly and a bow made od lace.
I'm wishing you a wonderful time,
Natalia
