The Women’s Leadership Initiative recently hosted the Empowerment and Professional Development Workshop, an inspiring event featuring founder Alexandria Maloney in collaboration with the Black and African Student Association. Women in Leadership: Mentorship Rountable Discussion and Workshop

The Women in Leadership: Mentorship Roundtable Discussion and Workshop brought together a powerful coalition of student clubs and women leaders across campus for an afternoon of inspiration, dialogue, and connection. Organized as a collaborative effort between the Women’s Leadership Initiative, the Arab Student Association, and other campus organizations, the event served as a platform to uplift and empower emerging female leaders. The workshop featured roundtable discussions led by accomplished women in various fields, providing students with mentorship, networking opportunities, and practical strategies for personal and professional development. Through open conversation and shared experiences, the event highlighted the importance of representation, resilience, and community in shaping the next generation of women changemakers.

Public Speaking Workshop with Professors and Luiss University Women in IR Society

The Public Speaking Workshop, hosted in collaboration with JCU Professors and the Luiss University Women in IR (International Relations) Society, is designed to empower students—especially women—to develop confidence and clarity in their communication skills. This interactive session focuses on the fundamentals of effective public speaking, including body language, tone, structure, and audience engagement, with special attention to the challenges women often face in professional and academic settings. Through practical exercises, personalized feedback, and discussions on gender dynamics in public discourse, the workshop aims to equip participants with the tools to speak assertively, advocate for themselves, and lead with impact in international and interdisciplinary spaces.

Linkedin Wokrshops and Photoshoots

Our LinkedIn Workshops and Photoshoots event is designed to help students build a strong professional presence both online and offline. In collaboration with career development experts, the workshop guides participants through the process of creating impactful LinkedIn profiles, from crafting compelling summaries to optimizing their experience and skills sections. The session also covers networking strategies and personal branding tailored for students and young professionals. To complement the workshop, we offer professional headshot photoshoots, giving attendees high-quality profile pictures to elevate their online presence. This event supports our mission to empower students with the tools they need to confidently navigate their career journeys.
