Our Story

Hi — we’re Simona and Lauren. We’re girlfriends who met five years ago in a cultural center while living in Rome. We connected over our love for good coffee, music, and places that made you feel welcome. When we moved to Chicago, we missed having a space where you didn’t need to spend a whole lot to enjoy — somewhere you could show up, sit down, and stay awhile. So we made one. Silver Jet Plane is our version of that space: a café, bar, venue, and gathering spot for anyone looking for connection or comfort. We hope you find something here that feels like home.
