THE CITY

"Abidjan", the capital city of Cote D'Ivoire is filled with hidden beauty. Below are few of my favorite photographs of the city. Truly home to the most unique restaurants, landscapes and sunsets.

#1. Daily Sky Views: Walking in the streets of Abidjan feels like walking under the tropics.

#2. 6 P.M Sunset Views: This sunset was my daily view from my balcony at 6P.M

Landscape

#3. Coconut Tree Triangle: I would drive by these coconut trees every day after school. I noticed that they form a triangle, so one day, during a cotton candy sky, I snapped this quick blurry picture.

Landscape

#4. Abidjan by Night: One thing that will always amaze me is the city lights at night. A lot of people would call Abidjan by night the "mini version of New York."

Landscape

#5. La Terrasse: One of my favorite restaurant in Abidjan is called "La Terasse". The highest floor, is my favorite part of the restaurant because of the glass walls and the direct view to all the trees and the lagoon.

Landscape

#6. Oishi: Best sushi restaurant in Abidjan. 10/10 would recommend. As seen in the picture, the ceiling of the restaurant is covered by handmade paper crafts. Makes you feel like you're on a little cloud surrounded by paperplanes.

#7. Screaming Colors: No caption needed.

Landscape

#8. Sofitel: This spa is located at the Sofitel hotel at the heart of the city. The best way to relax on a sunday. Here is my favorite place about the spa. The heated swimming pool. (Plus my sister in the background)

#9. Home on a Saturday morning. A lot of people's idea of a perfect weekend is going out. My perfect weekend consisted of staying home, reading a book by the pool, until the sun sets.

Landscape

#10. Home is a Jungle: My house was mostly the getaway for all of my friends. This pathway led directly to the pool, and along with my friends, we would often stay on this pathway chatting, drinking, playing games etc.

#11. Lights Will Guide You Home: Another beautiful sunset. One of the last ones I took in Abidjan. I felt like the sun kissed me goodbye.

Landscape

#12. Loud Sunsets: I never got tired of picturing sunsets. Every sunset felt louder and louder. Pure bliss.

Landscape

#13. Kopa&Co: This picture was the last picture I took of my favorite bar in Abidjan. It got destroyed 3 days later, but the memories still live on. Every moment spent in this bar with my friends was pure magic. We would wait for the sun to set, and then all go home.
