#1. On The Road: Assinie is the most popular beach in Cote D'Ivoire. Assinie is divided into two parts, the lagoon and the sea. To go to the sea, you have to cross the lagoon with the boat. Here's a little sneak peek of what the journey looked like at 5:30 P.M.
#2. Soulmate: My sister Zanah and I on our way back home to the lagoon side of Assinie.
#3. Daddy: My dad taking a picture of the world, while I take a picture of mine (him to be specific).
#4. Essentials: Going to the beach means picking up shells, reading books on a hammac and getting sunkissed under sunglasses and big hats.
#5. Bliss: Assinie gets hot. And by hot I mean 37 degrees celcius. The best way to cool off at the lagoon side is taking a swim at any swimming pool available. Literally.
#6. Youth: My favorite part about going to the beach was playing soccer with locals after a swim in the sea. Filled me up with energy and good vibes.
#7. Lost: This picture was taken at a little island in Cote D'Ivoire called "Ile Bouley". It's basically the embodiment of calm and serenity. The best place to just chill.
#8. Peace-Out: Ile Bouley's main entertainment? Water activities. Because the island does not have the sea, most activities take place in the lagoon.
#9. Adventures: Another activity at Ile Bouley is biking the hidden forests of the island. Along with my sister and nephew, we biked all the way to this vast land , which surprisingly led us to another side of the lagoon.
#10. New Year Goodies: On the 2nd of June, I went to another beach called "Grand Bassam" with my family. This restaurant was the perfect afternoon escapade. Serves the best lobsters!!!
#11. Sunrise: Although I talked about the beauty of sunsets, sunrises are also magical and pure bliss. Best view to wake up to to be honest.
#12. San Pedro: Another beach in Cote D'Ivoire is "San Pedro". This beach is not often visited by many because the town is still in reconstruction. Nevertheless, a lot of my surfer friends come here to catch the waves.
#13. Sqaud: Assinie with friends is the most fun you will ever have. Here is a photograph of my friends and I swimming, and probably plotting our next plan for the day.
#14. Final Goodbyes: This picture was taken during our last days of high school. Some of my friends thought it would be cool to all hug as the sun sets. And to be honest, they weren't wrong.
