P A R I S

Paris had been a dream of mine for a very long time. My childhood bedroom was Paris themed, so having been to Paris three times in the past year has been incredible. The first trip was with my whole family in December 2022 (post Christmas), this one focusing on Disneyland. We spent a day and a half in the city, and three days in the parks. My second trip was in April 2023 with my mom. This was my birthday trip, and we spent 4 days in the city, exploring everything touristy! And the last trip, was this past December (before Christimas), with my whole family, again, kinda focusing on the parks, since I have three younger siblings, and we're big Disney people. We spent a day in the city, and 4 in the parks. My top recommendation, is to book ahead. Obviously Paris is extremely popular, and especially if you go in the warmer weather, it will be even more crowded. But if you do go in the winter, do you really want to wait in a slow line for that long?

The city intself is clearly beautiful, and a must travel. No matter how overrated or basic it may seem, I recommend doing everything you can in your time there. The hike to the top of the Eiffel Tower is worth it, a day in the Louvre is worth it, and try to catch a show at the Moulin Rouge if you can! We weren't able to, but still got to see the outisde. Go find the Arc di Triomphe, and go shopping and don't forget to take a stroll through one of their many gardens whether that be Tuilleries or Luxembourg. Paris in the winter is very magical, but I would definitely recommend going when the weather is warmer. Especially, if you want to check out Versailles...

The Palace of Versailles is a must if you have the time. You need to schedule at least one full day there, as that is what I did on my trip, and it still felt like we were being rushed. In addition to the beautiful main palace, there are so many smaller palaces and residences, and also gardens and outdoorscapes that you do not want to miss. Being in the palace compared to the outside areas felt completely different. Inside, you're surrounded by golden details, grand architecture, old handmade tapestries, gorgeous art, huge halls, handcrafted furniture and so much more. You feel like a royal. But in the outside, you feel like you are in a fairytale garden with marble statues, colroful flowers, huge gazebos, green grass, and cottages that look like Sleeping Beauty could've lived there. Speaking of her...

Disneyland Paris is the next portion. If you have kids, this is a must. The thrilling rides, iconic characters, delicious food and beautiful architecture/ladnscape makes the child in anyone show a bit. Disneyland Paris is made up of two parks. This first park is Walt Disney Studios. Very similar to Hollywood Studios, this park is themed the same and is home to The Tower of Terror, Toy Story Land and other iconic Hollywood Studios rides. It is also home to the brand new Avengers Campus (that opened July 2022) and has a rollercoaster named Flight Force that is modeled after Rockin’ Rollercoaster. We got to have lunch at Le Chez Remy, the exclusive Ratatouille themed restaurant here in Paris, which was pretty good and the atmosphere is so fun, as you are the size of a rat! The main park, Disneyland Paris, is similar to Magic Kingdom in Orlando. It’s home to all the iconic rides like Big Thunder Mountain, It’s a Small World, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and has all the themed parts of the park just like Magic Kingdom. Their “space mountain” was rethemed to Star Wars and is called Hyperspace Mountain and was definitely a favorite. We also saw a live show of Lion King which was AMAZING! They had a acrobats and aerialists and everything was gorgeous. Disney isn't always for anyone, but it's a very small park, and you could do each in a day if you wanted to. I've been there twice now and I feel as if I've I've had my share of Disneyland Paris for a while... until they open their new addition in a couple years...
