A Beginners Guide to Boston, MA

Boston is the capital of the state of Massachusetts. The city is over forty-eight square miles with a population of almost 700,000. Massachusetts as a whole is widely known across the country for the amazing colleges/ universities and hospitals. These alone attract millions of people each year.

Although many people refer to Boston as a small city, the city is a lot bigger than most people think or know. Each neighborhood has something unique that it offers to Boston. For example, the North End is known for the Italian food, Fenway-Kenmore is known for being home to the Red Sox, and Back Bay is known for having the best shopping in Boston.

Boston is also known for the historical events that took place there for centuries. Some of the historical events that took place in Boston include the Boston Tea Party, the American Revolution, the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, and many more. Not only did many important historical events take place in Boston, but many historical figures and celebrities were born in Boston or have elected to live their lives in Boston. For example, the Wahlbergs, Benjamin Franklin, Michael Bloomberg, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, Tom Brady, and David Ortiz to name a few.
