As mentioned in the regions portion, the south is full of these. Good thing too, because the rust is kept to a minimum. Rust may be the number one factor in buying a pickup truck. They typically have hard lives, and rust is devestating. Now, American brands traditionally dominate the truck market. This is for good reason. The U.S. has been making trucks for a long time now in an immense quantity; they know what they're doing. Generally, stick to American brands. Trucks have a unique life. They typically are ran very hard with much towing and hauling. However, they are generally kept in great mechanical shape becasue they people who use them are reliant on them; therefore, they must be maintained properly. This measn that you can shop for older, high-mileage trucks with little worry over reliability issues. The advice here is to just look for a clean truck at a reasonable price. Now, truck can get very expensive very quickly. They can have as many or as few option as you'd like. In reality a truck with almost none of the features will provide the same utility as one with all the bells and whistles. If you really want to be laiden with luxury, by all means, pick the expensive, but you aren't getting much in return. Stick with the basics, and you can't go wrong.
