Background

Lewis Hamilton was born on January 7, 1985, in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England. At an early aged he showed interest in racing, and started his career soon after. His father, Anthony Hamilton, worked multiple jobs to support his son's karting career. Hamilton quickly climbed the ranks of the karting world, showcasing his natural talent and determination, and soon progressed to higher levels of racing. He joined McLaren's young driver program, which marked the beginning of his association with the team. In 2007, in his debut season, Hamilton made an immediate impact, finishing on the podium in his first nine races. He went on to secure his first victory at the Canadian Grand Prix that same year, becoming the first black driver to win a Formula 1 race. Over the years, Hamilton has become one of the most successful and decorated drivers in F1 history achieving numerous victories and breaking many records such as most pole positions and Grand Prix victories. Hamilton's career with Mercedes, which began in 2013, has been particularly noteworthy as he has consistently been a dominant force in the sport, winning multiple World Championships with the team.
