Background

Max Verstappen was born on September 30, 1997, in Hasselt, Belgium into a family deeply involved in motorsports. His father, Jos Verstappen, is a former Formula 1 driver, and his mother, Sophie Kumpen, was a kart racer. Max began karting at a young age, and his natural talent quickly became apparent. His rise through the racing ranks was rapid and he progressed through the karting categories and moved on to compete in single-seater championships. In 2015, at the age of 17, he made history by becoming the youngest driver to compete in Formula 1 when he joined Scuderia Toro Rosso, now known as Scuderia AlphaTauri. Verstappen's debut season in Formula 1 showcased his exceptional skill and fearlessness on the track.
