Sestri Levante

Sestri Levante is called "The city of the two Seas" because it overlooks two bays. The biggest one is called "bay of the Fables" after the writer Hans Christian Andersen named it this way in the 1830s; the other one is appropriately called the "bay of Silence", because its little dimensions make it a peaceful and tranquil corner of paradise.
ART
One of the churches in this town is Santa Maria di Nazareth, with relevant Ligurian artworks inside it.
