Jay Pritchett

Jason "Jay" Francis Pritchett is the patriarch of the Pritchett family. He is the father of Claire, Mitchell, and Joe. He is married to Gloria and is stepfather to Manny. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War and is the founder and former CEO of Pritchett's Closets & Blinds.

At 60, Jay married a much-younger Colombian woman, Gloria, who has a son, Manny Delgado, from her marriage to ex-husband Javier.

Gloria Delgado Pritchett

Gloria Marie Delgado-Pritchett (neé Ramirez; formerly Delgado) is the feisty, fun-loving Colombian daughter of Pilar Ramirez and Fulgencio Ramirez, wife of Jay Pritchett, and the mother of Manny Delgado and Joe Pritchett.

Gloria is often characterized by her loud, outspoken attitude. She is shown to enjoy the limelight, as she makes effort to be noticeable especially when it comes to her appearance. She is shown to be very proud of her Colombian roots and insists on carrying on several of her Colombian traditions with her new family.

Manny Delgado

Manuel Alberto Javier Alejandro Ramirez "Manny" Delgado is the Colombian-American son of Gloria from her previous marriage to Javier.

Manny is portrayed as very mature and intuitive for his age and is often shown doing adult-like things, such as having deep emotional conversations with adults, drinking coffee and handling problems like a grown-up, which seem to always confuse his stepfather Jay.

Joe Pritchett

Fulgencio Joseph "Joe" Pritchett is the son of Jay and Gloria Pritchett. He was born in the episode "Party Crasher", just after midnight on his half-brother Manny's 14th birthday. While his first name is Fulgencio,

Jay says they will never call him by that name as it was only a way to appease Gloria's mother, and instead call him by his middle name Joseph/Joe. Joe seems to be a very excited and bubbly but calm toddler at times and can be unintentionally violent.
